These projects are designed for groups of various sizes. They are a great way to participate in a one-time-only activity with your family, church, colleagues, clubs, or any other group you may have in mind. Gardening and LandscapingA variety of gardening and landscaping activities includes yard clean up (pulling weeds, digging up beds), planting, raking leaves, and mowing the lawn. Adopt-a-RoomThis project entails renovating a room in our shelter. Although each room has specific needs, many of them could use fresh paint or wallpaper, new carpeting, new blinds, and furniture. Dinner PreparationVolunteers prepare dinner for the women and children staying in the shelter. Shelter Clean-UpGroups spend a half to a full day cleaning different parts of the shelter. This may include disinfecting the children's room, cleaning the kitchen, washing windows, or cleaning the carpets. *Please note that our needs for these projects vary. It is possible that in some cases we may not be able to accommodate your group's size or date availability. We greatly appreciate your flexibility with both the scheduling and the service that your group provides SafeHouse Denver. Thank you for your support!
